A hand-embroidery atelier in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. Aari, maggam and zardosi worked on the frame, on blouses cut to your measurements — not bought in, not machine-run, not off a rack.
Three techniques, one pair of hands, and the time it actually takes.
Aari is worked with a hooked needle on fabric stretched taut over a wooden frame. Zardosi lays metallic coil by coil. Neither can be hurried, and neither looks like the machine version. That is the whole point.
Zardosi & bead
Metallic coil, raised bead clusters and pearl outlining, laid into borders that catch light from every angle.
Mirror & zari
Shisha mirrors set into cord lattice, and zari borders in copper, rose-gold and antique silver.
Pieces from the studio
Each one made to a single customer's measurements. Yours will be its own design — these show the technique and the standard.
At this distance, there is nowhere to hide.
Machine embroidery is uniform. Handwork is not — the coils sit slightly proud of the cloth, each bead is set individually, and the light catches unevenly because a hand made it.

Consultation
Come in, or send photographs on WhatsApp. We talk through the occasion, the saree, and what you want the piece to feel like.
Design
The motif layout is drawn for your neckline, sleeve and back — where the density sits and where the piece is left quiet.
Measurement
Measured in person. Nothing here is sized small, medium or large.
On the frame
Fabric stretched taut, embroidery worked by hand. The longest stage, and the one that cannot be rushed.
Stitching & fitting
Assembled, then tried on. Adjustments are made on the spot and are part of the commission.
Handover
Final press, final check, and how to store it so the threadwork lasts.
Commissions we take
Turnaround depends on the density of the work. Bridal pieces should be started well ahead of the date.
Bridal blouses
Full aari, maggam and zardosi work across yoke, sleeves and back — the densest work the studio takes on.
Designer blouses
Border work, sleeve panels and back detailing for receptions, festivals and functions.
Gowns & Indo-Western
Sequinned evening gowns and contemporary silhouettes, cut and finished to measure.
Children’s wear
Occasion pieces for children, in the same techniques and to the same standard.
Alterations
Refitting and repair, including work on embroidered garments made elsewhere.
