A small room, a wooden frame, and a lot of hours
SA Designer Studio is a hand-embroidery atelier on Remco Bhel Layout in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. The work is done here, on the premises, by hand.
Not a boutique. A workshop.
There is no rack of finished garments here to pick from. What there is: dress forms, rolls of fabric, a frame, and work in progress.
Made for one person at a time
Every piece that leaves the studio was drawn for one customer and stitched for her measurements. That is slower than buying something ready-made, and it is the only way to get a blouse that fits properly and carries work of this density.
We also take alterations, including on embroidered garments made elsewhere — often the fastest way for someone to see the standard of the work before commissioning something larger.
